Ioannis was born in 1979 and is married with three children. He is a police officer with the rank of Sergeant, and has been awarded the highest Police Excellence Award due to an armed confrontation and dismantling of the most brutal criminal organisation operating until 2012, which resulted in his serious injury. He has also been selected by the European organization FRONTEX as an instructor in the specialty "Motor Crime Detection Vehicle Officer". This year he completes 29 years of involvement with racing, as he started in 1993 from karting, gradually climbing the ranks of motorsport, culminating in his participation in the Acropolis Rally from 2007 onwards, as well as representing Greece in the FIA Hill Climb Masters.
Born in Melbourne, John Christou made his name in Australia, building a number of successful businesses. His latest creation was Ad-Momentum, founded in 2004 with the aim of changing the face of marketing.
When he decided to return to Greece and settle in his home town of Kalamata, the idea of getting involved in motorsports began to mature in him. A motorsport enthusiast, he invested with the purchase of the Citroen C3 Rally2, with which Ad-Momentum participated in 2021 in the Acropolis Rally and Rally di Sperlonga with Yannis Plagos as a driver.
He has already moved on to his next business step in motorsport, which cannot be ruled out to be combined with personal involvement in racing!
